The Midea PortaSplit is a split-system air conditioner you can move. A wheeled indoor unit connects to a compact outdoor unit that hangs outside a window or sits on a balcony. You get the cooling of a fixed split system without hot-air ducting or permanent pipework. It cools and heats in one unit and suits bedrooms, home offices and medium-sized living rooms, all year round.
Key features
- 12,000 BTU (3.5 kW) of cooling, with the hot side placed outdoors, so it cools much harder than a single-hose portable
- Heat pump heating for spring and autumn, plus dehumidify and fan-only modes
- Rated A++ for cooling and A+ for heating, with an inverter compressor and a SEER of 6.1
- Silent mode down to 39 dB(A), helped by a layered compressor sound enclosure
- Control it with the Midea SmartHome app, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or the supplied remote, and see energy use in the app
- Set-up needs no installer or refrigerant work. A wall-mounting bracket for the outdoor unit is included
- Multi-directional castors let you roll the indoor unit from room to room
